Which charities should we donate to for the Turkiye/Syria Earthquake?
Muslim communities are very generous, but we must donate with due diligence.
Our advice is:
✅ Donate to a reputable charity of your choice
✅ Do check they’re registered with charity commission
✅ Do consider which charities have a track record in the area with the expertise to mobilise.
❌ Avoid giving to individuals who are not fundraising for a charity.
❌ Don’t give to an unknown entity based only on social media.
❌ Don’t see this as an either/or situation. There is enough wealth in the Ummah to help all other places in need too… we only lack unity.
